Seti River


Itinerary 01:
(2 days)

Day 01:
Drive from Kathmandu to Damauli, put in point for this trip. The journey is quite picturesque passing few human settlements on the way. After having a short briefing about safety and paddling dimension from guide, you become ready with great enthusiasm to paddling down to the confluence with Seti. You raft down to Keshavtar. While rafting, you encounter with the challenge of numerous 3+(4 – in summer season) rapids. The beautiful landscape with natural scenery is an additional dimension. You camp at Keshavtar and enjoy campfire in tranquil night.

Day 02:
This day you will paddle down to Gaighat after having enjoyed breakfast. You encounter the challenges of Cock and Rock rapid. Splashing each other and having enjoying the views at every turn, unfortunately, the water flow has already brought us at Gaighat. After the trip ends, you drive back to Kathmandu.

Day 01:
Drive from Kathmandu to Damauli, put in point for rafting. The journey is quite picturesque passing few human settlements on the way. After having a short briefing about safety and paddling dimension from guide, you become ready with great enthusiasm to paddling down to the confluence with Seti. You spend the whole day within its forested canyon. The luxuriant vegetation you see is a remnant of the vast forested area, which once covered the middle hills of Nepal.

Day 02:
Traveling by rafts is a perfect way to view undisturbed wildlife. When you stop for lunch you have time to explore, Photograph, birdwatcher, swim or relax. Later in the afternoon you encounter a small but technical rapid near the village of Saranghat. Inhabited by Magars, who are renowned for generations of service with the Gurkha forces Saranghat, is a colorful middle hills village. You camp on a spacious beach below the village.

Day 03:
After you have finished breakfast and repacked the raft, we will set off down river. Later you encounter the technical rapid grade 3 shortly after the rapid you leave Seti Khola and enter Trisuli River. Here the middle hills recede and the Terai plain opens before you. The Topography has changed dramatically. The twisted severe rock formations give away to sandstone and gavel deposited by antecedent rivers. After lunch you have opportunity to visit a unique religious community , Devhgat . Every year thousands of pilgrims visit the ashram to worship. At this point Kali Gandaki joins the Trisuli River. The river now becomes the Narayani River. You float further down to a small town Narayanghat and your river trip ends here. Drive from Narayanghat to Kathmandu.
