Eco Tour To Nepal
We are of belief that ecotourism encompasses a spectrum of nature-based activities that foster visitors’ appreciation and understanding of natural and cultural heritage and are managed to be ecologically, economically and socially sustainable. We adopt programs that minimize the negative aspects of conventional tourism on the environment, and enhance the cultural integrity of local people. In addition to evaluating environmental and cultural factors, an integral part of ecotourism which we vehemently support is in the promotion of recycling, energy efficiency, water conservation, and creation of economic opportunities for the local communities.
In support of Eco Tourism we have taken these steps:
1.Save the environment around you
2.Preserve the natural luxuries and forest life
3.Do not create any mishap or disturbance in the life cycle of nature
4.Active participation in conservation efforts, education, and support for natives.
Eco tourism
First Environmental Trekking has always remained very conscious about the preservation of environment. It focuses on local cultures, wilderness adventures, volunteering, personal growth and learning new ways to live on planet. Our company believes in a travel to destinations where the flora, fauna, and cultural heritage are the primary attractions. We practice responsible ecotourism which includes programs that minimize the adverse effects of traditional tourism on the natural environment, and enhance the cultural integrity of local people. Therefore, in addition to evaluating environmental and cultural factors, initiatives by hospitality providers to promote recycling, energy efficiency, water re-use, and the creation of economic opportunities for local communities are some of our objectives.
Our goal is to enable people to enjoy and learn about the natural, historical and cultural characteristics of unique environments while preserving the integrity of those sites and stimulating the economic development opportunities in local communities. Specifically we always attempt to effectively promote the preservation of entire local ecosystems, not just individual species, vistas or sites.
In numerous places, trekking groups have left littered trails and degraded forest in their wake. Against this alarming backdrop, the practice of ecologically friendly-tourism has been gaining increased momentum – both in Nepal and around the World. Our approach to tourism seeks not only to preserve the environment and culture of a tourist destination but also to be of benefit to the local population. By fostering environmental awareness, both among locals & visitors and by linking tourism to social and economic development, it is possible to preserve the natural and cultural heritage of an area through the promotion of sustainable tourism. This not only enhances the positive experience of those on holiday it also helps to increase the standard of living of the local residents. Such a lot has been said about environmentally friendly tourism and no doubt a lot more will be. We can proudly say without hesitation that we have led the way in responsible tours to our Kingdom.
Our slogan is “Where there is greenery, there is peace and happiness”. In this regard we strongly condemn deforestation and organize plantation project from time to time. All the guides and porters working in this company have been provided training about the hazards faced by the environment. They have learned and adopted practices for protection of environment. In training and workshop about environmental degradation and specific measures for the protection, the local people of different areas have been invited. These programs provide awareness to the local community about sanitation, hazards of deforestation, preservation of eco system; maintain cleanliness and hygiene and so on. The profit our company earns by selling tour and trekking Regions to the guests is shared and invested for the above mentioned activities for the benefit of local livelihood, women’s empowerment and environmental conservation.
Village Tourism
World vision travels and tours has been operating village tourism since the beginning of its establishment. We cherish believe that village tourism offers a unique opportunity for comfortable cultural immersion. You travel to places where the way of life has not changed and where everything is still built by hand, made by hand and created by hand. Visit people untouched by western ideals, computers or modern "necessities".
Our company contracts with a whole village to accommodate and entertain guests; rooms in local houses are fitted with bathrooms and a few tourist-style comforts, host families are trained to prepare meals hygienically, and a guide accompanies the guests to interpret. Participating villages tend to be located a couple of hours' walk from the nearest road - close enough to be easily accessible for less-than-fit visitors, yet far enough to be culturally intact and shielded from outside influences.
We take our guests to unspoiled villages where they spend a few days living with the local people and being treated as honored family guests. Each village is connected through a variety of crucial horizontal linkages with other villages and with urban areas both near and far. Most villages are characterized by a multiplicity of economic, caste, kinship, occupational, and even religious groups linked vertically within each settlement. While staying in the villages, guests enjoy comfortable accommodation, delicious local food and drink and a welcome that will remain a happy memory for a lifetime. While they are with us our guests can rest assured that they are always in a secure and safe environment.
Local attractions, both scenic and cultural, are shown to our guests by our well trained ethnic guides who always do their utmost to make the guest’s stay a memorable experience. Many of our villages are close to unspoiled natural areas where wildlife may be seen undisturbed. This can be a feature of our Regions for special interest groups.
The traditional culture of the different ethnic groups is a highlight of all of our village visits. These warm and friendly people are always ready to perform their music and dance and to give an insight into their religion. Examples of local handicrafts will be on display, and for sale, to guests.
The aim of operating such kind of tourism is to help the participating villages greatly improve their community. 10 % of our net profit goes directly into their tourism venture.
Our company mainly focuses on these areas as models of village tourism.
